Secular counselors are trained not to bring their personal values into the therapy session. Counselors, therefore, are instructed to be neutral with every individual when discussing personal values, beliefs, and faith. However, approaching the counseling session from a faith-based perspective provides individuals with an environment that naturally supports and enriches their personal values and beliefs. Christian Counseling views the Bible as an authoritative source of instruction, direction, and correction that is applicable in the counseling relationship. Further, Spiritual formation is at the heart of the work that we do and we believe that Scripture is an essential part of our personal growth.
