Zachary and his wife, Macy, currently reside in Austin, TX with their daughter, Everleigh. They serve as the Assistant Pastor at New Life Austin. He is a licensed minister with the United Pentecostal Church International. Zachary grew up in a minister’s home and has been afforded many opportunities to travel around the world in various ministry capacities.
Zachary received a Master of Arts (M.A.) degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Messiah University. He also received a Bachelor of Science (B.S.) in Psychology from Regent University. Prior to these programs, Zachary earned an Associate of Arts (A.A.) in Biblical Studies from the Apostolic School of Theology through Hope International University. He is currently enrolled at Corban University where he is pursuing a Doctor of Ministry (D.Min.) in Strategic-Transformational Leadership.
He has experience working in community-based therapy and in outpatient therapy settings. Zachary has worked with a broad population ranging from infants to adults. He has experience working with individuals and families presenting with anxiety, depression, anger, grief, trauma, existential concerns, and other disorders. He works from an evidence-based and trauma-informed orientation and has received further training in EMDR, TF-CBT, DBT, TBRI, and other modalities.
Zachary’s passion is to bridge the praxis of counseling with the power of spiritual understanding. His desire is to help individuals find healing and meaning through the means of therapeutic intervention and spiritual formation. He aspires to pursue further education and certification within the field of counseling for the purpose of providing those in Christian leadership roles with tools for personal and corporate care.
